General Note
  • General note - Flanking the Badiang spring in the east is a Jutting mass of rocks "verdant with the foliage of a miniature forest" known as Punta Gorda (Gorda Point). Actually a very slight promontory of the general eastern coastline, it derived its name from the rocky hill above it. Punta Gorda is better known as Balitbiton among the natives, for it is believed that this used to be the cliff from where erring members of society (those guilty of high crimes) were thrown into the sea.
