| General Note |
- General note - Perched at the tip of a rocky cliff, overlooking Maribojoc bay and southern Cebu is a wooden cross believed to have been planted by Miguel Lopez de Legaspi in 1565, shortly after he had taken part in the historic blood compact with Boholano chieftain, Datu Sikatuna of Tagbilaran. According to the legend that when a Muslim group was about to attack the eastern settlements of Bohol in 1567, the arms of the cross stretched from Punta Cruz to Panglao island on the opposite side, thereby blocking the way. The cross at present leans on a concrete reinforcement, having been badly damaged by the elements in the passing of the years.
