  • General note - A tiny strip of white sand located some 2 miles from the shoreline of Mambajao is Medano islet, a favorite swimming resort for the people of Camiguin. More popularly known as the White Island, it can be reached within 40 minutes by a sailing baroto. It is devoid of any vegetation and only makeshift nipa shelters provide shade for excursionists.
