| General Note |
- General note - The women of Lukban, as can be seen in the photo, enjoy their daily chore of washing clothes right in front of their houses, while their counterparts from other towns still go to the rivers. This is a common sight all day long in the poblacion, where a constant supply of clear water runs along the canals. An overflow from the waterworks system installed in 1921 on the slope of Mt. Banahaw, the "rain mountain", this water is used for practically all purposes other than drinking. Lukban1s drainage system has been installed in such a manner that canals along the house fronts have clean running water, while those behind are drainage gutters.
