General Note
  • General note - Because of the Manila City Hall's proximity to Intramuros, Japanese hold-outs defended it to the last man. The building became General Mac-Arthur's headquarters and command post on February 23, 1945. On the left is Arroceros Street; farther ahead is the smoke stack of the Insular Ice Plant.
