- General note - The 31 Spanish cazadores who surrenderd to Filipino rebels after abandoning their position inside the Baler parish church. Of the three officers and 50 enlisted men who took up the 349-day defense of Baler, only one officer and about 30 soldiers survived. The commander, Martin Cerezo, is seated in the middle, with cane and hat.
