| General Note |
- General note - One of the small-scale industries in Lukban is the manufacture of bakya, or wooden shoes. One of the three big bakya shops in the town is owned by Consolacion Zeta. The photo shows two of her workers sawing a trunk of malapapaya tree into small blocks. Taken from the forests of Quezon and Laguna, the soft and rather moist wood of the tree is ideal for bakya, which should be of light material.
