| General Note |
- General note - From being a mere supplier of wood, Lukban has become a producer of bakya. In the photo, several pairs await transportation to the market, usually Manila. Wooden shoes from Lukban are brought to the market merely varnished, plainly decorated, and having no plastic straps (Manila vendors provide them for a higher selling price). Occasionally, however, orders are filled for richly carved, high-heeled pairs, usually for export.
