| General Note |
- General note - On the beach, a crew of about 30 men, women, and children in two groups pull the ropes attached to the bamboo brail at each end of the net. To keep the net properly circled around the catch--which may be lost if the sea current carries the net to one side--a caretaker or piloto, the leader of the operation, directs the crew in adjusting their pull on the rope. It takes about two hours to get the net to the shore.
