- Notes - Constructed in 1910 and owned by Mr. and Ms. Walter Scott Price, the mansion served as a provisional capitol of the Commonwealth government under President Sergio Osmena in 1944. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Scott Price, this edifice, located at the corner of Justice Romualdez and Santo Niño streets, served as provisional capitol from October 20 to 23, 1944, upon the reconstitution of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, for President Sergio Osmeña. Constructed in 1910, the total cost went up to P300,000 after it was renovated and enlarged in1936. It has two big master''s bedrooms and 4 guestrooms. It is presently maintained by Mr. Joseph Price, who is the eldest son and administrator of the estate. Shortly before the coming of the American forces, it became the headquarters of Colonel Kawasoy, the commander-in-chief of the Japanese Imperial Army whose jurisdiction was Leyte and Samar. After a few days, the Japanese Colonel transferred to another residence. When the American Liberation Forces came on October 20, 1944, this mansion sheltered three generals: Douglas MacArthur, Carlos P. Romulo and Basilio J. Valdes.
