- General note - A sugar cane hauler sits in his carabao-drawn bamboo sled as he waits for his load of cut cane stalks. Later in the first quarter of the 20th century, sleds would be replaced by locomotive and eventually, trucks. The stalks are to be brought to the "kabiaoan" (old sugar mill) or to the "central" (tall mill).
