| General Note |
- General note - In 1954, substantial increase in the production of Philippine traditional exports (copra, sugar, coconut oil, tobacco, lumber and timber) contrasted with the decline in the world prices of these commodities. This was also true of the country's mineral output; market gains brought about by Japan's large importation of minerals were cancelled out by the drop in American exports, owing to strong competition offered by other exporting countries.
