Title Statement
  • Title - Bolts of cotton fabric
General Note
  • General note - These bolts of cotton were woven in the National Development Company's cotton mills. Cotton plantations, the most successful being those in Koronadal, Cotabato, raised cotton for the manufacture of threads and textiles in government and government-controlled mills. From the mill, the goods went straight to the Prime Commodities Distribution Control Association for rationing to consumers. But the bolts of cloth soon disappeared, leaving Filipinos to resort to buy-and-sell and recycling.
