- Notes - The resistance against American military authority in Cebu was hardly felt in the Cebu urban area. However, a fairly well-organized insurgent military governemnt in the interior made attempts to harass the Americans resulting in slaughter on both sides. Shown in the photo is a small fort in Cebu which American artillery pulverized in January, 1900.
