- General note - Seen in photo is Toribio Teodoro, founder of the Ang Tibay shoe factory, inspecting the work of one of the laborers. Dubbed as the "Slipper King", Teodoro established Ang Tibay in 1910, with Juan Katindig as his partner, ang opened the Ang Tibay slipper shop on Calle Ylaya, near Azcarraga. Years later, Teodoro gave up the shop and built his "footwear palace" in his birthplace at Grace Park.
