- General note - Shown are linoleum blocks and prints done by artist Sancho Enriquez. The process of linoleum cutting and printing was introduced in the industrial arts classes in public schools to give students an insight into the different processes of the printing press. The preparation, cutting and printing of linoleum blocks by hand are similar to the procedure used by power presses, which can also produce posters, greeting cards, decorated textiles and illustrations for books, magazines and papers.
