- General note - Photo reproduction of the marker installed by the Philippine Historical Commission in 1968 to commemorate the heroic stand made by about 2,000 rebels from Bulacan against the Spanish troops who stormed the stronghold on 1 January 1897. Kakarong de Sile was a flat-topped hill at the boundary of Pandi and Angat, Bulacan. Here, 6000 men under General Eusebio Roque, Canuto Villanueva and Canuto Galvez set up their headquarters with houses of nipa and bamboo, barracks, a market place and an armory.
