| General Note |
- General note - Shown is the stone marker erected on the site where the Katipunan leader and public servant was born. Born to Francisco Valenzuela and Lorenzana Alejandrino on 11 July 1869 in Polo, Bulacan, Pio joined the Katipunan in 1892. He was the revolutionary movement emissary to Jose Rizal who refused any involvement in the armed struggled because of its lack of logistics and preparation. Arrested and eventually imprisoned at Fort Santiago for sedition and complicity in the attempt to overthrow the Spanish government in August 1896, Pio was released upon the signing of the Treaty of Paris 1898. He became "Presidente" of Polo in 1899 and governor of Bulacan in 1922.
