General Note
  • General note - La Independencia, a revolutionary newspaper, was published in this Manila-Dagupan wagon train. The paper served as the voice of the Philippine Revolution. The first issue, dated September 3, 1898, was printed in Binondo. When the Americans declared the paper illegal, the place of publication was changed. This train proved to be a useful editorial office under the circumstances.
