- General note - Standing some 50 to 60 feet high, the Rizal monument of Mambajao in front of the towns' central school, is one of the tallest in the country. Erected in 1906 during the local administration of Mayor Felino Aranas, it was inaugurated by Mrs. Edith Forbes, mother of Governor General William Cameron Forbes. The statue was made by Zamora and Sons of Manila.
