- Notes - Puerta Real is one of the original gates of Intramuros. It was completed in 1780, situated at the end of Calle Real del Palacio, a street which led directly into the main entrance of Fort Santiago. On the foreground is a carabao or water buffalo, the principal beast of burden at that time in Manila.
