- Notes - Scientific name: Prioniturus luconensis Family: Psittacidae Local name: Kaguit (Pil) Other common names: Green Racquet-tail/Green-crowned Racquet-tail/Racquet-tailed Parrot Conservation status: VU (Vulnerable) Found in lowland forest and edge up to about 1000 m foraging in the canopy and understory. Occasionally will be seen in cultivated areas adjacent to forest usually in pairs or small groups. Very active in late afternoon. Young recorded in May. Nest and eggs not described. Population seems to be declining rapidly in recent years, not necessarily due to habitat loss or the pet trade. Still common only in Subic Bay region in Zambales and Bataan province.
