  • Notes - Taken at the Lepidoptera Museum Exhibit, 1969-1970. Moth of the family Saturniidae. Larvae--large, fleshy, and green in color--feed on trees and shrubs. On reaching maturity, this moth spins a dark-brown cocoon reinforced with a varnish-like substance and securely attached to the host plant.
