Notes
  • Notes - This starfish is characterized by the large, acorn-shaped tubercules along the ridges of its rays. Philippine specimens vary in the number and form of tubercules. In most cases they are higher than the breadth at the base and are capped by a blunt or pointed tip free from granules. At least 7 specimens have the tubercules in the center of the disk. Scientific name: Oreaster nodosus.
