- Notes - A photo of the grandstand and a portion of the six-furlough turf track of the hippodrome in San Lazaro. The Manila Jockey Club started as an elitist organization of the city's horse-racing aficionados in 1867 and had its hippodrome in the R. Hidalgo-San Sebastian area in Quiapo. It was moved to a rented piece of land along Pasig River in Santa Mesa(1880) before it subsequently had its present home in San Lazaro in 1990.
