Notes
  • Notes - Zebrasoma veliferum - Sailfin tang. Sail-bearing surgeon fish has standing dorsal and anal fins like sails, which look as if they belonged to a fish several times as large. The dark brown body is crossed by six golden bands contrasting boldly with the surrounding color. The sides of the snout and the portion under the chin are mottled with golden dots. The huge dorsal and anal fins are variously colored brown, black or violet, crossed by many nearly vertical blue or violet lines or rows of spots.
