- Notes - Photo reproduced in 1970 shows two male Bilaan who have gone to college.. Macario Bantilan and Akmagi Dominguez wear the Bilaan costume identical to that of Bagobos. Dagmay (abaca fiber) fabric woven into an upper jacket (saul) and knee-length drawers (salawal). Instead of beads , a variety of intricately embroidered patterns fill up the spaces. Ornamental strip of clothing worn in front of the stomach is called akos. The headgear, not often worn, is a hemp piece twisted simply into an utob.
