- Title - Bagobo food offering
|
| Notes |
- Notes - The tunglaw, a food offering consisting of fowl and animal feeds, is suspended from the kitchen ceiling of a Bagobo house for a bountiful catch during the hunting season. It is offered in honor of the "spirit owners" of birds and other animals. Aside from dry agriculture, the Bagobos engage in hunting and fishing for a living. Wild animals and fish are taken by spears, bows and arrows, blowguns and nets. Birds and wild fowls are likewise snared by the same hunting implements.
