| General Note |
- General note - Among the Cordillera men, the chest tattoo is a sign of strength and bravery. When headhunting was practiced, it indicated that the wearer had taken a human head. Tattoo motifs among the Ifugao are the dog (kinabu), man (tinagu), and centipedes (ginawang and ginayaman). (See CCP Encyclopedia of Philippine Art, Vol. IV, 174.)
