| General Note |
- General note - Ifugao religious carving is best exemplified by the bulol, which are generally found in pairs. Bulol are spirits incarnated in human forms called tatagu. Considered guardian idols, these carvings are kept in granaries where they stand guard and supposedly increase the rice stored. At harvest time they are taken to the rice fields and, in elaborate ceremonies, installed to protect the rice during the harvest.
