- Notes - William H. Anderson and Company is an importing business founded in 1904 by Major W.H. Anderson, a West Point graduate and officer of the Volunteer Army who served in the Philippines in 1898. It sold cement, fire bricks, clay, glazed sewer and other pipings, tiles and other merchandise for all types of building enterprises. It supplied the construction needs of government-funded buildings such as the Philippine Normal School, the Philippine General Hospital and the Bureau of Science building.
