| Title Statement |
- Title - Ibaloy vegetable vendors
|
| General Note |
- General note - These women carry their produce in the typical Ibaloy basket (see PE00688). The Ibaloy raise an impressive array of crops: rice (their staple), camote, gabi and other tubers, strawberries, cabbages, lettuce, turnips, caulifower, beans, carrots, and broccoli. Restaurants and hotels in the lowlands, especially Manila, depend heavily on Ibaloy produce for their supply of vegetables (CCP Encyclopedia of Philippine Art, Vol. l, 263).
