  • General note - An Ibaloy woman carries rice stalks in a basket on her back, held in place by a strap across the forehead (Capistrano-Baker, Basketry in the Luzon Cordillera, Philippines, 24). The Ibaloy, like other Cordillera peoples, plant rice in terraces built on the mountainsides. They harvest rice twice a year.
