General Note
  • General note - Bontoc children help care for their yournger siblings, those from one to four years old, carrying them on their backs by means of blankets "slung over one shoulder, passing under the other, and tied across the chest." The older children, boys included, take care of the young while their parents work (Jenks, The Bontoc Igorot, 134and 151.) Men,women, and children carrying babies about the pueblo are a common sight.
