- Notes - Shown is a reproduction of a watercolor drawing of a fashionable couple in the late 1920s. The male wears an all-silk ensemble: a silk shirt , a silk suit, a silk tie and a silk handkerchief in his pocket. A fashionable accessory is the felt trilby hat that came out in the early 1900s. The female, coiffed in the latest Hollywood hairstyle, wears a camisa, sleeves shorter and foreshadowing the future butterflies, and pañuelo of rengue, and a skirt of soft material with a sobrefalda or embroidered tulle. The tail of the skirt is lifted to show the embroidered enagua(half slip) to advantage. a pair of black leather pumps completes the attire. c, 1929.
