|
| Notes |
- Notes - Photo shows an upper-class couple dressed for a formal dance. The male is totally western in a formal dinner suit with thin lapels, a shirt with standing collar held by a black boe tie and black de baston pants. A pair of black pointed shoes completes the apparel. The female has abandoned the mascota silhouette and instead wears a terno cut along the slinky contour of an Occidental evening dress. A finely embroidered paƱuelo still covers the camisa of similar material. The skirt which makes use of bias cut to simulate the line produced by a sobrefalda is decorated with painted flowers , brilliant dust and rhinestones. A sweeping train shaped like a dovetail (la paloma) is likewise embroidered and studded with rhinestones.
