| General Note |
- General note - The Manila Carnival was a month-long pageant that sought to repair strained relations among its Spanish, American and Filipino residents caused by the war at the turn of the century. It also aimed to perk up the Manila economy and to attract foreign tourists by featuring products and services offered by the different Philippine regions and agencies in booths and in floats during the carnival parade. Shown is the float of the Philippine Health Service, with two American soldiers fumigating an old Spanish watch tower. YYY
