General Note
  • General note - The image of Our Lady of the Pillar enshrined at Sta. Cruz church is a replica of the original image in Zaragosa, Spain. It was brought to the Philippines in 1743 by the Spanish Jesuits. By the middle of the 19th century, the Virgin was named as the Titular Patroness of the Sta. Cruz district, where her feast is celebrated every year on October 12.
