General Note
  • General note - The devotion to Our Lady of Consolation is one of the oldest marian cults in the Philippines, which originated with the Augustinians in 1565. Also known as La Virgen de la Correa or the Virgin of the Girdle, the image is enshrined at San Agustin Church in Intramuros, with the Virgin's crown made of pure gold reputedly weighing more than a dozen ounces.
