General Note
  • General note - This unique image of the Virgin shows her inside a fishnet or salambao, with a fisherman standing behind her. This depicts the origin of the image, which was believed to have been caught off the shores of Obando by two fishermen. The Virgin of Salambao is enshrined in Obando where she is venerated as a patroness of fertility, together with San Pascual Bailon and Santa Clara.
