- General note - The devotion to Our Lady of Fatima came from the village of Cova de Iria in Portugal, where three children witnessed a series of apparitions of the Virgin in 1917. Here in the Philippines, an image of Our Lady of Fatima is enshrined at Mount Carmel Church in New Manila, which is a larger but faithful replica of the image brought over from Portugal in 1974.
