  • General note - On the book jacket: "The cover is a line sketch of The German Club house on San Luis Street, now T. M. Kalaw. Located beside the Casino Espanol near San Marcelino Street, the club house was designed by noted German Architect A. Gabler-Gumhert. Construction commenced in 1924 and and continued through the following year. Inaugurated on April 1, 1925, the club house became the center of social activities for the German Community until February 1945 when it was totally ruined in the Battle of Manila."
