| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - Researched account of the liberation of Corregidor in 1945, giving particular emphasis on the 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment which jumped onto Topside in a move to surprise the Japanese. The book describes the heavy fighting that took place, particularly since American intelligence had seriously underestimated the strength of the Japanese.
The author, a military historian who served as an enlisted man in Korea, was a paratrooper in this same unit and knew many of those who jumped onto Corregidor in 1945. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
