| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - Personal account by an American soldier with the 60th Coast Artillery Regiment (Anti-Aircraft) on Corregidor. Detailed account of life before the war in Corregidor and other camps he visited (almost one third of the book); of his experiences during the siege, the surrender, and prison camp life in Cabanatuan - which is where he was rescued by the "surprise" US Ranger raid in January 1945. He was one of seventy-two men who joined the 60th Coast Artillery in June 1941; he was the only one of this group to survive the war. Appends a list of prisoners of war who were liberated with him in Cabanatuan, members of his regiment, and participants in the raid on Cabanatuan. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
