  • Summary, etc. - Personal account of an Australian soldier who was captured in Singapore and sent by the Japanese to Sandakan, North Borneo, for forced labor to build an airfield. He and a few others (among them Rex Blow; see Sheila Ross' book) managed to escape in 1943,and made their way to Tawi-Tawi, where they were aided by the guerrillas of Sulu.
