Well researched, including correspondence with leading Filipino guerrilla officers, this book presents the background to the Los Baños Internment Camp, its creation, life in the camp, guerrilla intelligence on the camp, the planning and timely execution raid. The book centers on the raid itself, carried out by American paratroopers, Filipino guerrillas and amphibious tractors. The author also details the aftermath of the raid: the massacre of Filipinos and Chinese in Los Baños, and the trial and execution of the Japanese officer in charge.
