  • Summary, etc. - Personal account of an American Air Corps officer, commanding the 27th Materiel Squadron at Nichols Field. He describes his arrival in 1941, his experiences at Nichols Field when the Japanese bombed it, the move to Bataan by ship, fighting as infantry, and then the surrender. He details what he saw in the Death March and Camp O'Donnell. He was moved to Japan in November 1942 and the rest of the book narrates his experiences in forced labor camps in Japan. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
