| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - Brief vignettes, personal accounts, diary entries and poems mostly relating to the difficulties of American prisoners of war under the Japanese. A few of the accounts deal with conditions in Bataan - the shortage of food - and the surrender, but the bulk of the book is on POW life. Major Chunn was an officer of the 45th Infantry (Philippine Scouts) in Bataan, and relates part of his experiences. While in prison camp, he compiled notes, stories, data and personal accounts covering the defense campaign and prisoner of war conditions; this book published a fraction of the material he compiled. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
