Summary, Etc.
  • Summary, etc. - Account of a US Army Air Corps Staff Sergeant, Alf Larson who arrived in the Philippines in 1939. When the war started, he was flight engineer with the 27th Materiel Squadron in Nichols Field. Like most other air corps men, he became an infantryman in Bataan; went on the Death March and endured Camp O'Donnell. Larson was made to work for the Japanese in Clark Field before being shipped to Japan on board the Noto Maru in late 1944. Much of the story is told in Larson's own words. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
