Summary, Etc.
  • Summary, etc. - Personal account of an American missionary based in Manila. When the war broke out, she and other members of her missionary group proceeded to Baguio seeking safety. Instead, they got captured by the Japanese there and were interned at Camp John Hay. Hamilton and her group were moved to Camp Holmes, where they spent most of the occupation years. In December 1944, the camp was moved to Bilibid Prison in Manila, where the internees stayed until they were liberated in February 1945. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
